  JA of Saskatchewan

History

Junior Achievement began in the USA in 1919 when Horace A. Moses designed a program aimed at providing high school students with practical business experience through starting and managing their own businesses.

Junior Achievement of Saskatchewan was established in 1977 by members of the Saskatoon Rotary Club, Ken Sawatsky, Ross Harwood and Wade MacBain.

Today, JA Saskatchewan includes a Saskatoon and Regina office. Programs are also being offered in Assiniboia, Gravelbourg, Gull Lake, Melfort, Pontiex, Swift Current and area. A full suite of inter-related programs is delivered to more than 5,000 young people in Saskatchewan schools in partnership with volunteer business consultants.
